Auckland region is made up of four cities (Auckland, Manukau, Waitakere and North Shore) and three districts (Rodney, Papakura and Franklin) with a population of approximately 1.2 million people – one third of New Zealand’s entire population.
The most important sectors of Auckland’s economy are tourism, manufacturing, wholesale and retail, finance and business services and transport, as well as sectors related to agriculture.

Look for the Red Bus -- The City Circuit now uses environmentally friendly hybrid-electric buses. The City Circuit runs every 10 minutes, 8am-6pm, seven days.
